My auto insurance premium seems to keep increasing. I drive a 2001 Nissan Altima and I’m paying over $250 a month. I have no accidents or speeding tickets on my record. My friend has a 2007 Pontiac G5 and he is paying $170. We use the same insurance company. This makes no sense to me. What seems to be happening?
I might also add that I live in Massachusetts and because we like to set ourselves apart from the rest of the nation, the state, rather than the insurance companies regulate the rates.

I was with the same insurance company for 10 years using the same local agent. My car insurance rates kept going up every time my policy was renewed. I decided to explore and see what better rates I could get with other car insurance companies. Friends and family gave me names of local agents from insurance companies they used. All the agents quoted me really high. Then, I called a major insurance company’s 800 number (not through an agent) and got the lowest quote. So, why do people use insurance agents? Is there a reason why it’s better to use an agent?

Florida State Required auto insurance limits are not nearly enough insurance to carry especially if you live in a larger city in florida. What is a good acceptable liability limit to carry on my vehicles?

My boyfriend and I got into an accident, where he was at fault. Although he was the driver, the car’s mine and I’m insured under it. I have already filed an insurance claim and I’m getting an appraisal right now. The car had extreme damage to the front (hood crushed, bumper torn out, headlights busted, grille pushed in, radiator cracked, and antifreeze liquid leeking out). The car is a 2006 Toyota Avalon w/ 24,000 miles on it. Is it possible that it’s totaled?

Do or do not, there is no try. asked: It’s for a homework assignment.
I have Googled it, Yahoo’d it, been to every company’s web site I can think of. Anyone have any ideas?
I just need a sample auto insurance contract.
LOL!
Thanks so much, but I am 44 and my father is 79. We are both insured by the same company and that won’t get it in this case.
Thanks for taking the time to help though.

I got my Drivers License a month back. Today I rented a car (and fortunately with a full insurance cover) and ran into another car and got a ticket that says “Inability to control car” or something like that. I’m planning to buy a car pretty soon. Could any of you give me an idea as to how much my insurance will be effected as a result of this mishap?

I was involved i car accident with the other driver taking the blame. My car is damaged and the other drivers insurance company will be contacting me regarding my car. What should I ask them? I am planning to ask about a hire car, who will repair my car or declare it a write off, can I claim for travel expenses whilst without my car and also is it okay to continu driving my damaged car before it is assessed by them. Is there anything else I should ask?

I heard that car insurance is pretty expensive for older muscle cars, and I’d like to know around how much a month car insurance would be for a 1968 ford mustang?
