It’s her car. In most states it’s the car that has to be insured not the driver. She has to sign for the car since it’s hers. Make sure the insurance company knows you will be driving it. You pay her.

You should check out an online insurance company like National Car Insurance. I used them and saved almost $400. Check out a free quote.

i see some responses to this but not any answers! yes, you can. the only stipulation to that is she has to be on the policy with you. or they may let her be listed as an additional interested party on the policy. this is similar to listing a lienholder to the policy when the car is financed. but if she does not want you to be on her policy and wants you to get her own and technically owns the car have her get one with the both of you on it. or if she owns the car and wants to give it to you have title changed to your name and you can be on by yourself assuming you are old enough to have your own policy.

Yes you can and as long as she is in the policy with you. You can also get a free car insurance quote rate online. You just fill-up the form and then compare it among the others.
