How many numbers in the policy number does Progressive, NationWide auto Insurance have?

June 25th, 2009 | by The Broker |
Hai asked:

I happen to be in an auto accidance, I collected everything from the involved party except his Insurance Company name. Could someone tell me which company writes this policy.

The policy number has this format: ###-######-12/29, Where # is numeric value. (9 digits follows by 12/29)

Thank You!
I called farmers and it is not their policy. look like last part of the pol# (12/29) is just the effective date. – thanks

    Sounds more like Farmers.

But what you need to do, is file an accident report with the police – and then when you get a copy of it, the insurance company name should be on it.

It’s not Progressive, PGR numbers are 123456789-0 and sometimes 1234567890-12345
