It would not be until your next renewal. It’s not immediate. The same is true when people think they will go down. A person will call the insurance company and say “I got in an accident three years ago yesterday, and you told me it would fall off in three years”. It will, UPON YOUR RENEWAL. Cheers.
Next renewal period. Be careful though, look at car insurance like your credit. The more mess ups the more stress you will be in with your financials.
next renewal with my liberty mutual insuarance it’s every 11 months if you pay every month but every 12 months if you pay out of your checking acct…it all depends on what you signed up for some are eery 6 months some are every 12

The others have covered it correctly. No increase until renewal but the increase isn’t automatic. They may forgive it this time, particularly a minor accident where ice was involved. You may not have hit another car but you had an accident. A curb, another car, a wall, a pole, a pedestrian; they’re all accidents unless you did it intentionally.
A collision payout due to a single car accident will count as an at fault accident for that driver even if it was form icy road conditions. Your company may have an accident forgiveness program which might allow one accident over a certain period of time to be “forgiven”. As far as any rate increase goes this will occur at renewal.
