Ok I need to get insurance for my car, reinstate my registration since it was suspended because I didnt have insurance, and pass smog check. In what order do I need to do these, I live in California.

Usually
1. Insurance (because you need that to move the car to get the smogcheck)
2. Smogcheck (because you need that to get the registration)
3. Registration
In your case I’d say ,
1. Insurance (so you can get the registration taken care of)
2. Incomplete Registration (so you can get a temporary window sticker to move the car to get the smogcheck and/or repairs done
3. Smogcheck
