Why does a job application ask if you have auto insurance?

Also, I worked for a temp. agency as my last job.. I have been applying for quite a few jobs lately, but I haven’t gotten any calls back.. Is it alright to call the temp. agency to find out what they have in my file, or what they tell potential employers when the call?

If you are applying for a driving position, you have to have insurance. If your insurance company dropped you, the company won’t want to hire you.
Regarding the temp agency, call them every day and see if they have work for you.
