I bought a used car a few months ago that had a near flawless finish. Over the past few months it’s been scratched several times by my nephew on his bike. We’ve talked and now I need to file a claim with my insurance. The marks are everywhere, back of the trunk, right rear quarter panel, hood, left rear quarter panel.
The problem is, before I knew I could claim damages, I used a touch up kit to cover the scratches and gouges so they are hard to see. But I could still take pictures of them as they stand now and probably get a letter from the salesman, proclaiming the condition that he told it to me in. What else do I need to file a claim with Auto Owners? Yes, I have full coverage, including comprehensive.

I am renewing my auto insurance. I have a car with all kinds of great features like leather seats, upgraded stereo, sunroof, etc. Is there some way to insure it so if it gets totaled, I can buy a car of equal quality? Should I even get full coverage?
Thanks.

My daughter was in an auto accident where the other person was at fault. The insurance policy that she gave was canceled a little over a month ago. Is there some way we can check to see if this person has a new policy some where else? The car she was driving was a 2008 so I would assume she has a loan on it and that would require her to have full coverage.

How much increase is a spouse’s auto insurance compared to just an individual’s insurance if we drive the same car in MA, with full coverage and that he’s a casual driver?

I understand that Michigan is a no-fault state, and as a result everyone gets this PLPD insurance or something. I’m moving from Pennsylvania and had full coverage on my car for about $90/month. I thought PA and MI were both no-fault, but it seems different and the rates I’m being quoted for the same insurance in MI are higher. I’m so confused!! Also, right now I am on State Farm. I’m 25 but on my mom’s plan, and I am getting married/changing my last name and I now live in Michigan so it is past time for me to pay for my own insurance.
Right now I’m on State Farm, and there are agents both here and in PA, but their rates seem to be high.
